Reconnect has Buka Buka Island to itself, deliberately capped at 20 rooms across 8 accommodation types — from €60 beachfront glamping huts to the €175 air-conditioned Villa Athena. Every rate is full board (three meals, afternoon tea, unlimited coffee, tea and filtered water) and includes kayaks, paddleboards, snorkeling gear and the house reef, which drops from 5 to 18 meters straight off the beach. Getting there
Buka Buka is the easiest island in the Togeans to reach because access does not depend on the public boats: transfers are private, run on request, and are timed to your arrival. Fly to Luwuk (LUW) via Makassar — multiple daily jet flights (Batik/Lion group), and the 11:25 arrival can make same-day island arrival possible. The resort arranges a private car to Ampana (per car, max 4 passengers: Luwuk IDR 1,000,000, ~5h; Palu IDR 1,300,000; Poso IDR 800,000; Tentena IDR 1,000,000; Toraja IDR 3,500,000), then a boat from Tete jetty to Buka Buka: Pegasus speedboat IDR 1,500,000 (max 12, ~30 minutes, runs day or night) or standard speedboat IDR 1,000,000 (max 8, ~45 minutes). All transport is one-way pricing, the same in either direction, payable at the resort — and stays of 7+ nights include one free one-way Ampana shuttle. From the island, private charters continue to any island in the archipelago (Bomba from IDR 1.2M, Wakai 1.5M, Kadidiri 1.8M, Una Una or Malenge 2.5M per local boat; speedboat roughly double), and the resort can book ASDP ferry tickets for you. Door-to-door from Jakarta or Bali is 8–10 hours.
