Poya Lisa occupies its own tiny rocky islet just off Bomba village at the south-western entrance to the archipelago — the first stop the Ampana speedboats reach, about 50 minutes from the mainland. Its 13 wooden bungalows are split between beachfront spots and a rocky hill above the water, in three classes (Standard, Superior, Deluxe) from Rp 400,000 per person per night including three meals a day; there's a two-night minimum and bookings are confirmed direct by WhatsApp or email with a deposit. Expect island-basic comfort: no air conditioning, generator power in the evenings, and wifi limited to the common areas. The setting is the draw — snorkeling straight off the islet, boat trips to nearby reefs, Jellyfish Lake and Bajau village excursions, and bird watching in the forest behind Bomba. There is no dive center on-site, but Araya Dive Resort (formerly Bomba Divers) is a couple of minutes away by boat and takes Poya Lisa guests diving on the Bomba atoll. Tripadvisor guests rate it 4.0/5 across 100+ reviews, praising the food, staff and snorkeling while noting the rooms are simple.

Frequently asked questions
How do I get to Poya Lisa?
Take the daily speedboat from Ampana toward Wakai and ask to be dropped at Poya Lisa/Bomba — about 50 minutes, roughly Rp 160,000. The cottages arrange the short hop to their islet; confirm your pickup by WhatsApp (+62 821 3682 2853) before boarding.
How much does Poya Lisa cost?
Current published rates are Rp 400,000–600,000 per person per night depending on bungalow class (Standard, Superior or Deluxe), always including three meals a day. There is a two-night minimum, and bookings are confirmed with a 50% deposit by bank transfer.
Is there diving at Poya Lisa?
Not on-site. Araya Dive Resort (formerly Bomba Divers) is about two minutes away by boat and runs dives on the Bomba atoll; the Poya Lisa staff can arrange it. Snorkeling is straight off the islet, with boat trips to further reefs.
Is there wifi and electricity?
Wifi is available in the common areas only — the operator deliberately keeps the bungalows unplugged. Electricity has historically run on a generator in the evenings; there is no air conditioning.
