Lia Beach is the far-eastern Togeans' barefoot design stay: just three oversized bamboo bungalows built from locally sourced bamboo and driftwood, set on a white-sand cove on Waleakodi Island with a house reef and a bamboo dining deck over the beach. Founded in July 2016, it runs on solar power and harvested rainwater (there is no fresh-water source on the island), deliberately capping guest numbers — there is no dive center, no wifi and no phone signal, and that is the point. Days revolve around the included kayak and snorkeling gear, boat trips to Reef 6 and the Bajo stilt village on Pulau Papan, tarsier spotting, and night walks looking for coconut crabs. Guests rate it a perfect 5.0 on Tripadvisor across 65 reviews. Published 2026 rates are Rp 1.6–1.9 million per bungalow per night (seasonal), full board with coffee, tea and drinking water included; each villa sleeps two with one optional extra bed. Book direct via WhatsApp — transfers are by charter boat from Popolii (Rp 500k/boat) or the Dolong ferry stop (Rp 700k/boat), and longer charters connect to Katupat, Kadidiri and Wakai.

Frequently asked questions

How do I get to Lia Beach?

By charter boat, arranged with the resort: Rp 500,000 per boat (max 4 people, one-way) from Popolii harbor or Rp 700,000 from the Dolong ferry stop. Longer charters run to Katupat (Rp 1.3M), Kadidiri and Wakai (Rp 1.5M each), so you can connect from the central Togeans.

What do the rates include?

Rates are per bungalow per night (max 2 guests, extra bed Rp 500k) and include full board — breakfast, lunch and dinner — plus coffee, tea, drinking water, snorkeling equipment and a kayak. Snorkel boat trips (e.g. Reef 6, Rp 500k) and village visits cost extra.

Is there diving, wifi or air-conditioning?

No dive center — Lia Beach is a snorkeling and switch-off destination. The bamboo bungalows are naturally ventilated rather than air-conditioned, and travelers consistently report no wifi or phone signal. The resort runs on solar power and harvested rainwater, so water use is kept mindful.

How do I book?

Direct only — message Erica on WhatsApp at +62 813-3776-9848 (or erica@sulawesiadventures.com). Lia Beach is not on Booking.com or Agoda, and with only three bungalows it fills up; book ahead for July–September.
