The public boat KM Wamburabura leaves Ampana for Pulau Papan on Monday, Wednesday and Saturday at 09:30, and Lestari staff meet guests at Pulau Papan harbour. Faster option: the daily 09:00 speedboat from Ampana to Wakai, then a private charter to the cottages (about Rp 900,000 per boat, 2–3 hours). From the north, the Gorontalo–Wakai night ferry runs Tuesday and Friday in the late afternoon (published times vary 15:00–17:00 — confirm locally).
