Harmony Bay sits on its own beach on Kadidiri Island, a 15-minute boat ride from Wakai and deliberately apart from the island's resort cluster. Rok and Valentina, the European couple who opened it in 2016, run it personally: eight-or-so wooden bungalows (Deluxe in the front row with king beds and big hammock terraces, Standards just behind with sea views), all with private western bathrooms and full board from locally sourced ingredients. Published rates start at Rp 750,000 for Standard and Rp 850,000 for Deluxe bungalows including three meals and Wakai transfers, with a 3-night minimum stay. Expect island conditions — generator electricity in the evenings only, no hot water, and patchy connectivity at best. The on-site SSI dive center is the other half of the operation: fun dives at Rp 850,000 including equipment (cheaper in multi-dive blocks), courses from Try Scuba up, and boat trips beyond the Kadidiri house sites to the Una Una walls, the Bomba atoll, Malenge's reefs and the B-24 Liberator WWII wreck. Reach Wakai by public boat from Ampana (the Hercules speedboat departs daily at 9 am, about 1.5 hours) or the overnight ferry from Gorontalo, and the resort's boat picks you up for the final 15 minutes — free, but only guaranteed if you send your arrival details at least 48 hours ahead.
Does Harmony Bay have a dive center?
Yes — an on-site SSI center with its own boats. Fun dives cost Rp 850,000 including equipment, with discounts for 6+ dives, and courses run from Try Scuba (Rp 1.1M) to Open Water (Rp 6.1M). Trips reach the Una Una walls, Bomba atoll, Malenge reefs and the B-24 Liberator wreck (per-boat fuel surcharges apply for distant sites).
What do the room rates include?
All bungalow rates include three meals a day and boat transfers to and from Wakai, plus coffee, tea and drinking water. There's a 3-night minimum stay; cold drinks and beer are extra.
Is there electricity and wifi?
Electricity runs from a generator in the evenings only (roughly 6–10:30 pm), there's no hot water, and connectivity is unreliable — recent guests disagree on whether wifi works at all, so plan to be offline.
